## Why it’s hard

Sites do not start slow. They get slower, one small addition at a time.

- **It adds up quietly.** One large image, one tracking script, one chat widget. Each is small and the page is slow only once they are all there.
- **Your laptop lies.** On a fast connection and a recent machine, almost everything feels fine. Your visitors are on older phones and weaker signal.
- **Design fights speed.** Big hero video, custom fonts and heavy animation all look great and all cost load time. Someone has to balance them.
- **Themes carry weight.** A theme loads code for features you never use. It is hard to cut back without breaking something.

- **Go live.** About a week for a launch page. We build it in Framer or custom code, fast on every screen, connect your domain and show you how to edit it. Full sites take two to three weeks.

## Questions

### Do you promise a speed score?

No. Scores vary with the connection, the device and what you add later, so we do not promise one. We build light and test on real phones, and we tell you plainly what we find.

### Can you speed up my existing site?

It depends on how it was built. On the call we open it on a phone with you and say whether it needs a clean-up or a rebuild.

### Will animation make it slow?

Not if it is designed with that in mind. Motion on a flagship build is built to run smoothly and load late, so it does not hold up the first screen.

### Is Framer fast enough?

For most launch pages and full sites, yes. If a project needs more control over what loads, we suggest custom code and say why.

### Does speed need upkeep?

A little. The usual causes are large uploads and new scripts. We show you how to keep images light when you edit the site yourself.
